Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just beginning your fitness journey, our team is here to guide, motivate, and inspire you along the way.
Lindsay
Lindsay is a talented and vibrant mama of two and is an experienced movement instructor, teaching competitive dance, pilates and yoga for 15+ years! She was a professional dancer travelling the US and Canada and is now passionate about sharing her love for movement and the mind-body connection. Her classes are dynamic and rhythmic, focused on alignment, the breath and embodying the buzz and joy that comes from moving the body!
Maria
You may know her voice from KISS 92.5 or recognize her at Toronto FC games, but here at Bike & Barre we know Maria for her intense, fun and electric Spin classes! Maria is a Bike & Barre OG instructor who began her fitness journey teaching Spin and Bootcamp classes with our studio in 2020. She taught in studio and virtual classes throughout Covid!
Maria’s outgoing and energetic personality brings the life out of everyone during her classes! Her carefully crafted playlists will have you rhythm riding as a team hitting every beat! Maria’s Saturday Spin sessions are thoughtfully programmed, high energy rides that keep you motivated to push till the end!
Melanie
Melanie is a certified Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates and Spin instructor who is passionate about all things health and wellness! She is a single mother of two with a very successful Pilates studio, Reformation Aurora, where she offers private and semi- private reformer sessions out of the comfort of her home!
Melanie brings an athletic approach to her Reformer classes while connecting clients’ mind, body and soul with each session. She is a true vet and “people person” when it comes to group fitness as she began training back in 2018! Her infectious bubbly personality and deep knowledge with Pilates will leave you feeling warm and loved and keep you signing up weekly!
Asini
From a shy kid to a positive fitness enthusiast, Asini's transformation began when she joined an All-Star cheer team and her high school’s swim team. She not only found her self-assurance but also discovered her love for the world of health and fitness. She turned her newfound confidence into becoming a certified swim instructor and lifeguard, paving the way for her wellness journey.
Her drive to live a well-balanced life lead her to discover the magic of spin right here at Bike & Barre in 2021. Now, Asini is Schwinn certified and strives to share her enthusiasm for Spin and her love for music with the world by creating workouts that are not only challenging but also fun! Join Asini on this ride, where it’s not just about breaking a sweat but embracing your best, healthiest and most balanced life!
Alyssa
Alyssa’s passion for fitness and dance started from a very young age! From the age of three she has been practicing various dance styles such as jazz, ballet, acrobatics, and contemporary. Alyssa danced competitively for fifteen years and furthered her dance career at the pre-professional level for two years. Alyssa is currently studying Kinesiology at York University, and is working towards a certification in Exercise Physiology. Presently, she is a dance instructor, certified personal trainer, and co-captain of York Lions Dance Energy team. She is committed to sharing her expertise at the barre and knowledge about fitness!
Emily
Being at the barre is a very familiar place for Emily. From the age of 3, Emily started dancing at Kicks Dance Studio in Markham, where she transitioned into competing in all dance styles (ballet being her favourite). Emily made sure to continue her ballet practice, and took advantage of how it improved areas of her life outside of the dance studio. Emily is focused on bringing a good energy to her classes, with an emphasis on listening to your body and having fun. Her love of fitness can’t be beat, and hopes you leave her classes feeling restored and recharged! Emily is Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Spin and Barre certified!
Christina M.
Having a healthy and active lifestyle is something that has been a part of Christina's life since she was a child. Swimming, dance and snowboarding are just a few of the activities that have taught her that with hard work, motivation, dedication and a positive attitude, nothing is impossible! Now with over 10 years experience working in the fitness industry Christina has found a true passion for creating and teaching fun core-based classes focusing on making you healthy, happy, strong and most of all confident! She has completed her Personal Training certification and is also certified in Spin and Barre!
Anna
Anna is a Schwinn Certified Spin professional with an energy that ignites the room with a curation of music that keeps your heart pounding and the soul spinning for more. She is as authentic as they come in the energy of a live spin studio that can’t be matched. Fitness is central to her daily life and she is passionate about innovating healthcare in Canada. Anna’s approach to fitness is not only about changing the body, but really changing the way you feel inside so you leave the class lighter, lifted and energized. She focuses more on a feeling and sense of accomplishment and encouraging a competitive spirit within you.
Hannah-May
Some of Hannah-May's earliest memories are of the dance studio. At the age of three, she began dancing at The Doreen Haynes School of Dance in Toronto. During her time there she was trained in ballet, tap, acrobatics, jazz as well as traditional Scottish and Celtic dance, with a particular focus in competitive ballet. At ten years old, she began figure skating at The Stouffville Figure Skating Club where she trained under professional skater Janet Williams for seven years. In the course of her skating métier, she was accredited by Skate Canada several times over. Hannah-May is committed to using her past experience to help others reach their fitness and wellness goals in a fun and encouraging environment!
Payge
Payge is a STOTT Pilates trained instructor that is passionate about all things health and wellness. She believes that movement not only helps us physically, but also emotionally. She found her passionate for Pilates three years ago and has not looked back since. Her classes will give you a good sweat, while still focusing on posture and alignment. Moving with all of you is the highlight of her week!
Vanessa
Vanessa is new to instructing but not to the spin world! She is a Kinesiology graduate, elementary school teacher, and Schwinn Certified Spin instructor. She has been spinning for over 6 years and has now brought her love of movement and music to the podium. Vanessa believes that movement is medicine and you should love what you do because you GET to move, not because you HAVE to move. You can expect high energy and intensity, fun choreography, and of course, a niche theme in her classes (we're talkin' Canadian radio hits and Family Channel bops).
Taylor
Taylor is a Schwinn-certified spin instructor who loves a good sweat! She took her first spin class in 2022 and was hooked immediately. She knew it was time to make the leap to the podium when she started hearing music and choreographing classes in her spare time. Taylor has love for music and takes pride in putting together the perfect playlist. In a class with Taylor, expect to sweat, ride to the beat and have a karaoke session to your favourite tracks (and some you might not know yet!).
Victoria
Victoria has always had a strong passion for movement and dance. She began dancing at the young age of 2 and continued to follow her dreams of becoming a professional dancer. She’s obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2021 (formerly Ryerson University) and since then has had performance experiences in Toronto, Vancouver, and more recently abroad in Europe. After training in various dance styles, it was Pilates and Barre that truly helped her become the strong and well balanced dancer that she is. Victoria is now a certified Pilates instructor and is excited to share her knowledge, energy, and passion in every class that she teaches! She is constantly growing her own movement practice and is ready to help you develop yours with love!
